Previously spent 17 years as CIO at ECRM (Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing), where I built systems that changed how retail works:
- Co-inventor, US Patent 8,290,898 — database systems for high concentration mobile user environments (2005)
- Built Ad Comparisons — tracked every distinct retail ad in North America at zip code level while competitors covered only top markets
- Built the software behind the Walmart Sustainable Packaging Scorecard via ECRM subsidiary Thumbprint — used by thousands of vendors, influenced retail sustainability practices industry-wide
Now starting to publish the experiments I've been running — computational science, agentic AI systems, simulation as a research tool. Trying to give something back.
Current project: SIMSIV — a calibrated agent-based simulation of human social evolution. Methods paper under review at JASSS. Testing the Bowles/Gintis vs North debate computationally.
