Нетехнологично, но дело своё делает. Надо только чуть качество кода поправить

Статическая HTML — сурово. Я бы на Razor сделал, это дало бы возможность сразу грузить историю (или что угодно) с бэкенда, без запросов к API. Но так тоже будет работать.
