Recommendation Systems are Statistical equipments which are built to automatically suggest users with items they might prefer to use. The core of these equipments are four components of data, namely-

Items Data - Information and features of different items.
Example- Movies(Genres, Title, Actors, Year Of Release, etc)
- User Data- Information and features of different users.
Example- Age, Gender, Geographical Location, etc.
- User-Item Interaction- Record of past interaction between users and items.
Examples- Ratings on Movies by Users, Whether a User purchased an item, etc.
- Context- Context defines the circumstances under which a User-Item Interaction took place
