A Landlab clinic held at Penn State on Wednesday January 22, 2020.
- Sign up for an account (see below): We'll do all of our computational work on the CSDMS JupyterHub. This means that we won't have to spend time installing software during the clinic.
- Review the basics of working with Python and Jupyter Notebook: There are many online resources. Coding experience is not a prerequisite for this clinic and we will explain core concepts as we go along.
- Background reading: Read the Hobley et al., 2017 open source paper about Landlab
Penn State Geology Building
The clinic will be held on Wednesday January 22, 2020 from 10 am - 12 pm
We will cover:
- What is Landlab? How can I get Landlab help?
- Using Landlab without knowing anything about Landlab.
- What is in the Landlab library?
- Explore some different models that can be built with Landlab.
- Laptop
- Web browser
- Coffee (optional, but recommended)
- Create an account on the CSDMS JupyterHub
- Provide a username and password -- it can be whatever you like
- Wait for authorization -- this will happen the morning of the clinic
- Get the clinic tutorials
Users are authorized through the JupyterHub authorization panel. You have to be logged in to the Hub to access this panel.
