Welcome to the UG-Tour wiki!

This project that is a collection of the Web, Backend as well as the mobile application for an app that is to ease the finding of places of interest in Uganda [to be named later].

Many times people find it hard to find a place to tour in the country and yet we have so many tourist attractions. This platform allows users to easily find places to tour right in the applications.

Some of the functionalities of the app will include

• Users can create accounts in the app. [we shall separate users, signup for users will be different for normal users and companies].
• For companies we shall have to first verify their accounts and have extra fields for extra information. Verification will take up to 24hrs.
• Users can signup with a variety of options [ email/password, google, facebook, twitter, etc... ]
• Users can see reviews from other people on places they want to visit.
• Users can also list a place as a place to tour, [add description, why others should visit it, add photos of the place, charges to tour, other perks]
• Users can favorite places they would like to visit later and come find them in one organized place
• Users can share places of interest.
• Users can list a public place and act as guides for a public place..
• Users can list themselves as local tour guides for a particular public place.
• Provide tourists with places they can visit in Uganda.
• Services offered by a listed company should be listed for the public to see. [ still debating ].
• we need a review system after an experience with a tour agency.
• Local people can suggest places users can suggest nice places to visit. [ add images about, map pin from location particular place of interest ].
• Share tour feature [ tourist can find other tourists interested in visiting a similar spot and can link up so they can go together].
