Semicircular tile chart that shows the monthly inflation rate of Venezuela from 2017 to 2020. The month with the highest inflation was January 2019. And the year with the highest monthly inflation rates was 2018. Data comes from the Central Bank of Venezuela.

Population projection for Venezuela.

Line chart that shows the number of people living in Venezuela from 1950 to 2020. After 2020 it shows the population projections made by the United Nations. Points of interest: in 2015 there were 30 million people living in Venezuela, in 2020 there were 28 million people living in the country. This sudden change in the population is due to the mass migrations the country suffered during the five year gap. The projection has 3 variants: high variant 53 million people by 2100, medium variant 34 million people by 2100 and low variant 21 million people by 2100.

Day 26: Trends 🦈 (code)

Global shark attacks are rising!.

Line chart that goes from 1990 to 2016, and shows the trend of fatal (in orange) and non-fatal (in green) global shark attacks. The chart shows that non-fatal attacks have been raising from around 28 in 1990 to around 124 in 2016. Fatal cases have been staying relatively the same, less than 25 attacks every year. The lines for each group also has a shadow that shows the 95, 80 and 50 confidence interval. Dots were also plotted and they show the exact number of cases for each year.

Parental education levels and students math scores.

Plot that shows the distribution of math scores for each parental education level (some high school, high school, some college, associate degree, bachelor degree and master degree). Each group has their distribution shown as a halfeye on the first half and a dot interval on the second half. The chart shows that the median math score for students whose parents have a master's degree is higher than the rest.

Projected births for Venezuela.

Line chart that shows the number of people births in Venezuela from 1955 to 2020. After 2020 it shows the projected number of births made by the United Nations. Points of interest: at the end of 2015 there were 2.9 million births in Venezuela, in 2020 there were 2.6 million births in the country. The projection has 3 variants: high variant 3.6 million births by 2100, medium variant 1.6 million births by 2100 and low variant 0.6 million births by 2100.

Corruption Perception Index (2020).

Plot that shows the distribution of corruption perception index  scores for each region (America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and Central Asia, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and North Africa and the European Union.). Each region has their distribution shown as a halfeye on the first half and a dot interval on the second half. The chart shows that the region with the least corrupt countries is the European Union.

In Which Language Do I Prefer Reading? 3D Version.

Pie chart that shows the number of books I've read. It is divided in two sections. The blue one is for 13 books I read in Spanish and the black one is for 45 books I read in English. The chart tells me that I prefer to read books in English.
