Requirements

• Ubuntu v18+
• Julia v1.6.1+
• Python v3.8.0+
• R v4.0.5+

Installation

Install Python

• Install pyenv using pyenv-installer

$ curl https://pyenv.run | bash

• Install python

$ pyenv install -v 3.8.0

Install Julia

• Install juliavm

$ git clone https://github.com/pmargreff/juliavm
$ cd juliavm
$ chmod u+x install.sh
$ ./install.sh

• Install julia

juliavm install 1.6.1

• Link julia with jupyter notebook

$ julia
$ press ]
$ add IJulia

Install R

• Install R in Ubuntu 18

$ sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys E298A3A825C0D65DFD57CBB651716619E084DAB9
$ sudo add-apt-repository 'deb https://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu bionic-cran40/'
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install r-base

• Install renv

$ sudo -i R
$ install.packages("remotes")
$ remotes::install_github("rstudio/renv")

• Link R with jupyter notebook

$ sudo -i R
$ install.packages('IRkernel')
$ IRkernel::installspec(user = FALSE)

Usage

• Git clone this repository

$ git clone git@github.com:lykmapipo/data-science-learning.git
$ cd data-science-learning

• Use python by open new terminal and run

$ pyenv local 3.8.0
$ pip install --upgrade pip
$ pip install pipenv
$ pipenv shell # Type 'exit' or 'Ctrl+D' to return.
$ pipenv install

• Use julia by open new terminal and run

$ julia
$ ]
$ activate .
$ instantiate

• Use R by open new terminal and run

$ renv::restore()

• Open jupyter notebooks

$ PYTHONHASHSEED=0 jupyter-lab

or

$ CUDA_VISIBLE_DEVICES="" PYTHONHASHSEED=0 jupyter-lab
