Freifunk git-add-keys

simple BASH script for bulk adding fastd-keys to a Freifunk community's Git repo

What it does

It automates adding lots of fastd-keys to a Git repo, that is used to manage the access of Freifunk nodes to the local Freifunk community's network.

Features

• Bulk add fastd-keys from a file
• Check for each key, if it already exists in some file in the repo, avoiding multiple entry.
• If a key already exits and the filename it resides in differs from the node name in our new key.txt: update the filename. Else: skip.
• If a file with the same node name exists, ask the user whether to update the key or not.
• Basically, only create a new key file, if the file does not already exist. Otherwise, use the available information to resolve inconsistencies.

Command-line call

$ ./git-add-keys.sh  <path to file with keys> <path to Git repo>

Input key file

Line 1: nodename_1 key_1
Line 2: nodename_2 key_2
...
Line n: nodename_n key_n
