This repository contains the Data for Van Zalinge et al. (2017), On determining the point of no return in climate change, Earth System Dynamics.

The repository contains the subdirectories DATA and FIGURES.

FIGURES:

contains python scripts to generate Figures 5,6 and 7 of the paper. Where required, it used the data contained in DATA. The paper's remaining results can be generated based on the information given in the paper.

DATA:

-Carbon_Response: The 100 GtC emission pulse to a present-day world (Joos et al., 2013), as found on http://climatehomes.unibe.ch/~joos/IRF_Intercomparison/results.html

-PlaSim_Ensembles: Model results for running PlaSim for abrupt CO2 doubling and smooth CO2 increase at a rate of 1% per year. Data gives a 200-year GMST annual mean timeseries for a 201 member ensemble, starting at pre-industrial conditions. The data is courtesy of F. Lunkeit and V. Lucarini (University of Hamburg, Germany).
