We needed to upgrade to new ruby, so I've reworked some (large) parts of this and updated all gems it uses.
Consider for merge (at least cherry-picking interesting changes).
/healthendpoint is there so support working inside nomad cluster, since we don't want to forward every health check to rubygems, not sure if you would consider this appropriate for upstreaming.
