Summary of Changes
Hello @wlgns12370, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!
I've implemented a change to make certain exam-related API endpoints publicly accessible. This involves updating the application's security configuration to whitelist these endpoints and removing the explicit authorization checks that previously restricted access based on user authentication and roles. The goal is to allow broader access to exam information.
Highlights
- Whitelist Expansion: I've expanded the application's security whitelist to include several new GET endpoints related to exam information. Specifically,
/api/v1/exam,/api/v1/exam/areas, and/api/v1/exam/allare now accessible without requiring authentication. - Authorization Removal: I've removed the
@PreAuthorizeannotations from thegetExams(),getByArea(), andgetDistinctAreas()methods within theExamController. This change means that these API endpoints no longer require users to be authenticated or possess specific roles (like 'ADMIN' or 'USER') to access them.

Code Review
This pull request aims to make certain exam-related endpoints public by adding them to the whitelist and removing method-level security annotations. The changes in ExamController are correct, but there are critical issues in the Whitelist.java file. The whitelisted paths have a typo ('exam' instead of 'exams') and the order of declaration will cause incorrect matching due to the use of startsWith. I've provided a suggestion to fix these issues.

| EXAM_ALL("/api/v1/exam/all", WhitelistMethod.GET), |

There are two issues with the new whitelist entries that will prevent them from working as intended:
-
Incorrect Path: The
ExamControlleris mapped to/exams(plural), but the whitelist paths use/exam(singular). For example, a request to/api/v1/exams/allwill not be matched by/api/v1/exam/all. -
Incorrect Matching due to Order: The whitelist check uses
requestUri.startsWith(path). Because of this, a request to/api/v1/exams/allwould be incorrectly matched by the/api/v1/examsrule if it appears first in the enum, as"/api/v1/exams/all".startsWith("/api/v1/exams")is true. More specific paths must be declared before less specific ones to be matched correctly.
I've provided a suggestion that corrects the paths to use exams and reorders the entries to ensure correct matching.
