- Target audience are novices

- Avoid cognitive load: One concept at a time)
- Avoid deceptive language (“simply”, “just”, “easy to do”)
- Interactivity: Assessment of students progress/understanding roughly every 5-10 minutes

- Advanced learners:

- Don’t engage in technical or nerdy discussions
- Have “advanced” assignments ready but don’t overdo it
- Stickers:
- Every student has two(?) stickers to signal “need for help / negative feedback” (yellow) and “positive feedback / ready to move on” (blue)
- Live teachong setup: Presenter’s env (colors, prompt, window decorations, …) should resemble as closely as possible the learners env.
- Episode structure:
- Setup: What questions will be treated, what are the learning objectives
- Body: Deliver the episode with as many examples and assessments as reasonable
- Wrapup: Reiterate the key takeaways from the episode, maybe look out to next episode
