v0.4.1 - Support For Nody Greeter 1.5.0

No functional or visual improvements have been made with this release; however, a recent release of nody-greeter introduces breaking changes that prevents previous versions of WelcomeXP from functioning correctly.

This update makes WelcomeXP compatible with nody-greeter 1.5.0 but also makes it incompatible with older nody-greeter versions. If you are still using an older greeter version do not install WelcomeXP v0.4.1+ without first updating nody-greeter.

v0.4.0 - Major Visual Improvements

A ton of visual improvements were made to the theme since last release which bring it much closer to the original login screen appearance, here are a few of them:

• Colors changed to better match the original login screen.
• Many size & position adjustments.
• Button images & default profile picture now closer to original.
• Background animation when opening shutdown prompt. (@nullnothing)
• Fading user listings to match behavior of the original screen. (@nullnothing)
• Improved font appearance. (@nullnothing)

Please be aware that WelcomeXP v0.4.0 will not work with nody-greeter version 1.5.0 or above, use version 1.4.1 until an updated version of WelcomeXP is released.

v0.3.1 - Multi-Monitor Support

If you have multiple monitors this release will show the background on all screens rather than leaving secondary screens entirely blank.
This feature requires nody-greeter v1.4.0+ to function.

v0.3.0 - Initial Support For nody-greeter / web-greeter 3.0

This is the first release to support nody-greeter and web-greeter 3.0 instead of lightdm-webkit2-greeter.
The majority of changes here are to support the new greeters and fix some small issues that emerged due to the updated API and HTML/JS engines; however, there is also a fix for a major formatting issue if you happen to have many accounts on your system.

v0.2.1 - Last Release For lightdm-webkit2-greeter

The only notable change with this release is solving issue #6 by adding the ability to switch users with the TAB key which also allows quicker entry into the password field.

However, this marks the last release which supports lightdm-webkit2-greeter.

As you may know, lightdm-webkit2-greeter was maintained by the Antergos team which fell apart years ago.
Unfortunately, this left us in a situation where lots of themes (this one included) were reliant on an unmaintained package; if anything were to break as the software around it updates, we'd all be out of luck.

Fortunately, @JezerM revived work on the project in the form of web-greeter 3.0.

Even better, they began work on a new project which creates a more modern substitute to the aging lightdm-webkit2-greeter using Node.js and Electron: nody-greeter.

WelcomeXP is migrating to supporting these projects instead of lightdm-webkit2-greeter.

While themes for nody-greeter and web-greeter 3.0 should work with either interchangeably, moving to work with them will render WelcomeXP incompatible with lightdm-webkit2-greeter. Unfortunately for those who installed this theme previously, this means any future updates will not be as straightforward and will require switching to one of the new greeters.

v0.2.0 - Better multi-user support.

There are very few visual changes with this release, but a few bigger and less visible changes since the last tagged version make it much less problematic to use this login screen with a large number of accounts listed. I don't think many users have enough accounts to encounter issues with the previous release but regardless its a nice touch and could make the screen feel a little more authentic.

I've been using this version of the login screen myself for over a month without issues now and haven't encountered any major issues. With less time to make minor refinements and no urgent problems to address it makes sense to version the current state of the project.

v0.1.0 - Initial version, generally usable but incomplete.

This version seems to be working on a daily basis without significant issues on my own systems.
There are some notable issues such as incompatibility with large numbers of user accounts - which causes the user list to overflow - and a few small theming issues that will be addressed later on but this (pre)release should be generally usable for most setups.
