As a freelancer, I often find myself in glorious chaos—juggling deadlines, debugging code, and, in this case, drowning in 200+ product images of all shapes, sizes, and questionable file formats. My client sent them over in PNG, JPG, and probably a few ancient relics from the early internet. As a developer, I knew one thing—big images mean slow websites, and slow websites mean lost visitors (also, lost patience 😩).
So, like any rational person, I thought, "Let’s convert them to WebP!" But reality hit hard—most online tools let you convert one image at a time (because obviously, I had all the time in the world 🙃). Doing it manually would’ve taken days—maybe even months, depending on my procrastination levels.
That’s when I did what all desperate developers do—I built my own tool. TinyPixel was born, and in just seconds, it turned my mountain of images into sleek, optimized WebP files. One small click for me, one giant leap for my sanity! 🧘♂️💨
