Introduction

Whether you're starting a new world, creating a modpack, or just adding this to an existing world, welcome!

This guide will teach you the inner workings of the Soul Siphon mod.

What is This Mod?

Soul Siphon is a small mod that introduces soul-based crafting to the game, using the power of Sculk and Pointed Dripstone.

Quick Start

Materials

To begin, you'll need some Soul Sand (and/or Soul Soil), a couple Sculk Blocks, a Sculk Catalyst, a Pointed Dripstone, at least 11 Crying Obsidian, and optionally some Sand (and/or Red Sand).
This will let you make a Soul Siphon, a Sculk Cauldron, and optionally Empty Weeping Urns.

For crafting recipes see Descriptions & Recipes.

Setup

Similar to Mud over Pointed Dripstone over a Cauldron, you place the Soul Sand (or Soul Soil) on Crying Obsidian, from which the Soul Siphon hangs off of.
Below the Soul Siphon you may place a Sculk Cauldron such that it may catch the extracted souls. An air gap between the Soul Siphon and the Sculk Cauldron (not shown) is possible as well.
The Soul Sand (or Soul Soil) will be converted into Sand (or Red Sand) regardless of if a Sculk Cauldron is underneath or not.

And More!

A few other blocks, including the Sculk Catalyst, can also receive souls from a Soul Siphon. Otherwise, there are surprises waiting to be discovered!
