The NSIDC Data Cookbook is a collection of how-to guides, tutorials and reference material to help NSIDC data users to search for, access and work with NSIDC data.

The How-To guides and Tutorials require Python 3.? or greater. In general, guides and tutorials use packages widely used in the Earth sciences and in data science. These include but are not limited to:
xarray
rioxarray
pandas
matplotlib
cartopy
pyproj
earthaccess
How-To Guides and Tutorials do not need to be installed. How-To Guides are intended to be example code snippets that can be copied into your own scripts as-is or modified. Tutorials are meant as stand alone notebooks. Most tutorials have binder links.
