The install depends on your version of Mac OS

For Mac OS Snow Leopard (10.6) or Lion (10.7) or Mountain Lion (10.8):

Install this DMG: https://git-osx-installer.googlecode.com/files/git-1.8.0.2-intel-universal-snow-leopard.dmg

For other versions of Mac OS:

Go through this long list of options and pick the one best-suited to your computer. If you're not sure, ask an instructor.
