Goals

The goals of the Gallery+ app for ownCloud are:

• to provide a more appealing way to visualise media files for both ownCloud and anonymous user
• to offer a slideshow both from within the app and from the Files app
• to offer the same features found in the latest version of ownCloud to users of older versions
• to allow advanced users to have access to features not available in the official Gallery app

It is not

• a grid/thumbnail view of files (no pdf, fonts, office doc, etc. previews)

Target

We want to cater for the needs of both casual users as well as professionals which need to deal with more than pictures taken with a camera

Design

The interface should have a very low learning curve. The app should come with sensible defaults while still offering a way to perform more advanced operations
