@AlexAndBear could you please have a look if it is ok what I added to the custom.css?

With this we can still have instructions which are outdated and should no be longe in the sidebar, but they still exists and can be reached with the old URL

I would rather do this via versioning, so leave it as it is and don't copy the file to the next version.

I would still like to use "Delete and redirect (301)"

Versioning + redirect seems to be the sweet spot.

As far as I have understood the doc code base so far, we always have only one "latest" version of the user, admin and dev documentation.

Wouldn't we need a versioning anyhow because, once customers stay on an LTS or any other still supported version, we have to maintain a stable, and versioned documentation until the products get out of support?

Yes. Versioning will come with the next production release from OpenCloud. We always will have a new docs version with a production release and the old versions will be available as long as the are valid for LTS
