SheerID Testing Instructions

Testing Instructions:

The sandbox environment allows for simulation of all verification result possibilities using only fictitious data. In the sandbox environment, the two attached “sandbox automation” documents can be used to simulate a successful or a failed document review decision. Uploading any other documents in the sandbox environment are ignored. Also, renaming these documents will invalidate them from automation processing, so just use them as currently named, during your acceptance testing.

To simulate instant approval, simply enter any information into the verification form. For multiple attempts, be sure to use a unique first name, last name, email, and school - otherwise you might get a "Verification Limit Exceeded" message from SheerID.

To review the document upload page, enter “REJECTED” in the first name field.

To simulate an approved verification request through document review, upload a document with a file name starting with “approve” (or use this file). To simulate a rejected verification request, upload a document with a file name starting with “reject” (or use this file). If you have a need to test the document review function, upload a file that starts with “needs_review” (or use this file) and you will be able to see the document you uploaded in the document review tool. Note, you will most likely not need to test this feature unless you are performing your own document reviews.

When you download the above files, be sure to rename them so they start with the appropriate file name (approved, rejected, or needs_review).
