Using GitHub bots to augment our work

GitHub provides a lot of helpful options to improve how we work together. For example, we use GitHub Actions to automate checks and do quality assurance for us so that we can focus on writing good code and documentation.

Another option for us to improve how we work together are GitHub Bots. These are applications that do a variety of things on GitHub. Bots we started using include:

• Reminder bot - Set reminders on Issues and Pull Requests
• Settings bot - allows for managing GitHub repo settings from a file
