This is an interesting idea. Thanks for submitting it. Wondering, what did you use to clean the code and correct spacing? |
It's an unwant effect. I use PhpStorm for work and anything else under Linux (Ubuntu). I don't know if it's a general formatting rule or che OpenScad plugin causing that. |

This looks very promising. I tried to print it. Label can be attached with some tricky moves, but brute force help too 😁 As it was expected stacking boxes on the box with label is not so precise. But it can be good enough for some people. For me, this is by now probably best solution of removable labels for gridfinity. Here are some photos of different solution, that uses more material, it is harder to attach and do not hold together that much as this "smart" labels |

What about a tension finger on the bottom to hold the label in place similar to clickfinity? https://www.printables.com/model/452675-gridfinity-clickfinity-baseplate-no-magnets-univer/files |

Hi Chris.
I tried to create a version of the "smart" label that can be removed while keeping the stackability and the same footprint as the standard one.
This way, you only use it if you need it.
Unfortunately, it only works if the cup has certain characteristics: width=1, lip reduced, and label only on one side.
I couldn't come up with anything remotely mergeable, so this is more of a feature request than a pull request.
If you're interested in adding it, I’m here and happy to help if needed.
