π‘ What: Replaced
generate_idimplementation inlib/task_manager/simple.shwith a pure Bash loop that generates 6-character hex strings using$RANDOM.π― Why: The original implementation spawned 3 external processes (
head,md5sum,cut) for every ID generation, which is slow in loops.π Impact: ~30x faster ID generation (benchmarked 14ms vs 420ms for 100 calls).
π¬ Measurement: Verified with
bench_generate_id.sh(benchmark) andtests/unit/test_task_manager.bats(correctness). Output format remains 6-char hex string.PR created automatically by Jules for task 14704274840108209786 started by @oyi77
