Pinch release 1.1.0

Contains #1. Main changes:

• targetSdk 28
• a conservative migration from Support Library v25 to AndroidX.
• removed obsolete com.novoda.bintray-release plugin from project

Focus for this release was on updating library to AndroidX. The sample project was also updated, but not thoroughly tested.
