Nearly 4 years ago I finished the german translation of chapter 3. What is the current state of play? At that time we asked for opening a repo progit/progit2-de. But what about now? When I look at https://git-scm.com/book/de/v2 it is obvious that only a little part of all the work that has been done so far was merged into that. Please can anybody tell me why? Thanks a lot!

@Sternenstauner Are you seeing a discrepancy between the content of this repo and git-scm.com?

The books are updated every night on the website. Missing updates may be a sign that:

  • the book does not compile
  • there's a bug in the import script.

Thanks

As for progit/progit2-de, I can create the repo, but that would not change much compared to now.

Look into the /book folder - there is still the ./images folder.

I have already updated the German translation folder structure. But there are still some bugs to fix before I want to start a PR. My current status can be seen here.

From what I can see here, the structure of the book is broken: there are conflict markers all over the place, and those do not play well with asciidoc.
