Documentation Review - PR #17426

I've reviewed the SEO/AEO skills addition and found the content to be well-structured and comprehensive. The PR adds two new Claude Code skills with proper modular organization following the established SKILL.md + references/ pattern.

✅ Strengths

Structure and Organization:

  • Proper modular structure with separate reference files
  • Clear skill descriptions and usage examples
  • Follows established patterns from other skills in the repository

Content Quality:

  • Comprehensive checklists for SEO and AEO evaluation
  • Well-researched positioning and keyword strategy frameworks
  • Clear instructions with step-by-step workflows
  • Good use of tables and structured formatting for readability

Style Compliance:

  • Headings follow proper casing (H1 Title Case, H2+ Sentence case)
  • Links use proper Hugo shortcode syntax with relref
  • Good use of examples throughout
  • Proper frontmatter with descriptions

Integration:

  • Appropriate integration with /new-blog-post skill recommending /seo-enhance
  • Clear use cases and triggers for each skill

📋 Minor Observations

All clear! No style, grammar, or structural issues found.

The reference content includes example links showing both good and bad practices (e.g., "click here" vs descriptive anchors), which is intentional for educational purposes.

✨ Summary

This PR adds valuable SEO/AEO capabilities to the documentation workflow with:

  • /seo-gap-analyzer - Research and strategic planning for content gaps
  • /seo-enhance - Page-level optimization for search and AI discoverability

Both skills include comprehensive reference materials covering:

  • SEO fundamentals checklist
  • AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) patterns
  • Pulumi positioning guidelines
  • Keyword strategy framework
  • Authoritative sources

The content is well-written, properly structured, and ready for use.

Nice work on the SEO/AEO skills! These are well-researched and comprehensive.

Fixed before approval:

  • Alt text guidance clarified (125 chars is UX recommendation, not technical limit)
  • Updated to use Grep tool instead of bash grep examples
  • Fixed trailing newlines and markdown spacing (Claude doesn't always follow proper Markdown rules)

Recommendation for follow-up:
Consider adding E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) as an 8th pattern in aeo-checklist.md. It's mentioned in seo-aeo-sources.md but not integrated into the evaluation checklist.

Verified:

  • Pulumi positioning accurate (290+ providers confirmed)
  • SEO/AEO guidelines align with Google's official documentation
  • Workflows include proper approval gates
