Mostly updating buildtools/gradle. sdk30 to 34. andx.compat1.3 to 1.7.
Had to bump minSdk from 15 to 21 because the manifest override failed, but i think it should be safe. I might be screwing up the syntax...
fixed most relevant warnings that showed up. (the "fix x" commits)
Also moved from gradle wrapper pattern to specifying the build hosts state. Added a GH action to build and publish the artifact (e.g. https://github.com/gcb/volume_control_android/actions/runs/9813551635), but not sure how you will want to plug in the signing stuff. Let me know If I can move this to a @f-droid proper build later.
