Relative Relief and Automated Coastal Landform Extraction

Computes and uses relative relief across three moving kernel sizes to automatically extract the following coastal landforms:

• shoreline (based on elevation threshold)
• dune toe
• dune crest
• dune heel (equivalent to the dune toe on the lee side of the dune)
• back barrier shoreline (based on elevation threshold)

Default thresholds are included in the program but open to user-interpretation and change. See original manuscript in Geomorphology for more information on how to tune the parameters.
