We don't need to specify the repository name and its owner also meets our requirements.

Nothing wrong with the changes, but why do we need them?

I know it is a bad practice, but we see other teams often copying over the workflows from meta-qcom in other layers which are also owned by qualcomm-linux, so this could cause unexpected issues for them (which is ok as this is a bad thing to do anyway).

The idea behind this change would be solely to reduce the differences when a new synchronization is performed with meta-qcom-distro. But it's a minor thing, and we can live well without this change.

It is fine to have it, just please update your commit message saying that it is needed to facilitate reusing in other qualcomm-linux repos then.
