Fondant

Fondant is a Chrome extension designed for designers, web developers, and font enthusiasts. It allows you to identify and download fonts by simply hovering over text on any webpage.

Features

  • Instantly see the font used on any webpage text by hovering over it.
  • Click to get options for downloading the font directly from DaFont or BeFonts.

Installation

Clone/Download the Repository

  1. Clone the repository using Git:
    git clone https://github.com/ribhavsharma/fondant.git
    or download it directly from Github.

Load the extension

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/
  2. Enable "Developer mode" by toggling it on in the top right corner.
  3. Click "Load unpacked" and select the fondant directory you just cloned/downloaded.

Usage

  1. Pin the extension to your Chrome toolbar for easy access.
  2. Click the extension icon and select "Enable Tooltip".
  3. Move your mouse over any text on a webpage to see the font.
  4. Click the popup, search on DaFont or BeFonts, and download the font.
