google-meet-poll-attending-extension

Getting started

Currently this extension only works with Google Chrome

  • Download this code as zip using 'download as zip' option from github
  • Extract the folder
  • Open Google Chrome extension management page by navigating to 'chrome://extensions'
  • Enable Developer Mode by clicking the toggle switch next to Developer mode
  • Click the Load unpacked button and select the extension directory

Ta-da! The extension has been successfully installed.

Using the extension

  • Once you are in a meeting (meet.google.com/whatever), click on the extension to enable it
  • Make sure this is the only active tab open in the current browser window, and is running in the foreground for the extension to work

That's it! The extension will automatically attend the polls (a random option among the given) and also will end the call by itself once the population is less than 20. (You can customize this if you want inside the code)

Disclaimer

Don't use this project to automate your classes. See this project only as a way of understanding how automation works and how it can even be implemented in your day to day life. I will never promote anyone to use this for attending online classes nor use it myself.

Classes are important and respect your teachers 🙂.
