I am a UK-based BSc Computing student and career changer, building a strong foundation in software development with a focus on understanding systems as well as the tools used to build them.
After many years working in content, localisation, and digital marketing, I transitioned into computing to pursue a more technical, problem-solving-focused career. I am particularly interested in front-end and full-stack development, where structure, clarity, and user experience intersect.
Alongside modern frameworks, I enjoy occasionally stepping back to first principles to better understand how things work under the hood.
- Completing my BSc in Computing at Arden University
- Strengthening fundamentals in JavaScript, Java, and database design
- Building and refining portfolio projects using both framework-based and framework-free approaches
- Writing about my learning process through practical, real-world projects
- Prefer clarity over cleverness
- Start simple, then introduce complexity intentionally
- Value semantic HTML, clean CSS, and readable JavaScript
- Use frameworks where they add structure, scalability, or productivity
- Focus on maintainability, accessibility, and performance
