Camera Control gives quick access to different properties and operators regarding cameras and everything related.

Scene

Scene Properties

Scene Properties: various Active Camera properties, Lock Camera to View, Motion Blur, and Motion Blur Shutter.

Scene Operators:

1. Select the Active Camera

2. Build Camera *

Same operator from Scene Builder. Adds an optimized camera to the scene and deletes the default camera.

3. View Camera

4. Align Camera to View

5. Copy Passepartout *

Copy the Passepartout Alpha of Active Camera to all cameras.

6. Motion Blur On/Off *

Add a marker to enable or disable motion blur at current frame. Shutter time can also be controlled with an 'mblur_on' marker.
Valid motion blur marker names:

  • mblur_off
  • mblur_on
  • mblur_on 0.5 / mblur_on0.5 / mblur_on_0.5

Once a motion blur marker is added to the timeline, the operator 'Update Motion Blur' appears beside the 'Marker' label. Enabling it will update Motion Blur and Shutter during a frame change.

This option is enabled automatically during rendering.

7. Copy Shutter to Markers *

Copy current shutter time to selected 'mblur_on' markers.

Selected Camera

Selected Camera Operators

Selected Camera Properties: Focal Length, Show Name and Limits, Clip Start and End, DoF, Focus Object, Focus Distance, and F-Stop.

Selected Camera Operators:

1. Make Selected Camera Active

2. Bind Camera to Marker

Bind the selected camera to a marker on the current frame. Requires an animation editor to be open.

3. Rename as Variant *

Rename selected cameras as alphabetic variants of active camera. Requires at least 2 cameras to be selected.

Note: works with various naming conventions, as long as the active camera doesn't end with 2 upper case letters.

4. Eye Dropper Depth

Sample depth from the 3D view to set the Focus Distance.
