Follow these steps to install and run r2modmanPlus on your Windows PC.

Download the files
Go to the link above and download the latest version as a ZIP file.

Extract the files
Right-click the downloaded ZIP file and select "Extract All". Choose a folder where you want to keep r2modmanPlus. For example, your Desktop or Documents folder.

Run the application
Open the folder where you extracted the files. Look for the file named
r2modmanPlus.exe. Double-click this file to launch the program. -
If blocked by Windows Defender
If Windows shows a warning about running the program, click "More info" and then "Run anyway".

Set up your first game
When r2modmanPlus opens, you will see a list of supported games. Select the game you want to mod first.

Create a mod profile
Click on "Create new profile". Give it a name like "My Mods" and select the game version you are using.

Browse mods
Use the built-in mod browser to find mods from Thunderstore for your chosen game. You can search by name or category.

Install mods
Click on a mod you want, then press the "Install" button. The app will download and set up the mod automatically.
Once r2modmanPlus is running, here is what you can do:
- Add or remove mods: Select your profile and use the interface to install or uninstall mods.
- Update mods: The app checks for mod updates. You can update all mods with a single click.
- Enable or disable mods: You can turn mods on or off without uninstalling them. This helps test mod compatibility.
- Manage multiple game profiles: Switch between profiles for different games or different mod setups.
- Check for conflicts: r2modmanPlus warns you if two mods may cause issues.
- The app won't open: Make sure you extracted all files from the ZIP. Also, check that your .NET Framework is up to date.
- Mods don’t appear in the game: Confirm you selected the correct game folder in the profile settings. Some games require you to run through Steam or their launcher after installing mods.
- Updates fail to download: Check your internet connection and try again. Antivirus software might block the app; temporarily disable it if needed.
- Game crashes with mods: Disable all mods and add them back one by one to find the problematic one.
Check the GitHub page from time to time for new versions. To update:

- Extract it to a new folder.
- Copy your profile folder from the old app to the new one.
- Run the new version.
