Coupons
Classicpay provides full support of coupons / discount codes to be set up. The concept is simple: a discount code (along with a period of validity, optional maximum usage, and the discount percentage) can be created for (currently) two levels:
- site wide ("any accessible course")
- course based (one specific course)
In the image above you can see the coupon manager overview (site wide).
This provides you with an overview of coupons, the statusses and some general information on the coupons. The overview is pretty self-explanatory. Note: this overview is in fact an admin page, and will only be available for administrators / managers.
The coupon manager on course level is only visible when the classicpay enrolment plugin is available and configured for a course. You will notice an extra navigation node in the course administration menu, from which you can immediately open the coupon manager. The only difference to the interface as shown in the image, is that the table shows only coupons that have been configured for the course you're editing. The form to create a coupon will not have a course selector, as the context of the course (therefore the course itself) is know. Any coupon created from this coursespecific coupon manager page will only be applicable for that course.
Note: the "course level" coupon manager has it's own set of capabilities. This allows Moodle administrators to assign the capabilities to other roles (besides the manager and site administrators) to create coupons on a course level.
