This fork makes no major changes to the original project; it simply integrates
the following bug fixes that the (possibly dead?) upstream developers have
neglected to integrate into their upstream repository:

- Python 3 incompatibility:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/python-v4l2/+bug/1664158
- Mistake in struct v4l2_frmsize_stepwise definition:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/python-v4l2/+bug/1760718

Note that the version number in this fork has been bumped from the original 0.2
to 0.2.1, and then subsequently to 0.2.2, to reflect the bug fix changes that
have been applied.

python-v4l2
===========

A Python binding for the v4l2 (video4linux2) userspace api, using
ctypes.  Basic example usage::

    >>> import v4l2
    >>> import fcntl
    >>> vd = open('/dev/video0', 'rw')
    >>> cp = v4l2.v4l2_capability()
    >>> fcntl.ioctl(vd, v4l2.VIDIOC_QUERYCAP, cp)
    0
    >>> cp.driver
    'uvcvideo'
    >>> cp.card
    'USB 2.0 Camera'

See the ``linux/videodev2.h`` header file for details.  Currently the
bindings are up to date with the 2.6.34 kernel headers.
