CourseHub: Empowering Educators, Equipping Learners

Project Overview

CourseHub is a web-based platform designed to bridge the gap between educators and learners. It offers a streamlined platform for teachers to upload and manage their courses, while allowing students to discover, enroll, and access enriching educational content.

Getting Started

  1. Prerequisites:

    • Node.js and npm (or yarn) installed on your system.
    • A code editor or IDE of your choice (e.g., Visual Studio Code, WebStorm).
    • Basic understanding of Angular, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server concepts.
  2. Clone the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/shreysheth/coursehub.git
  3. Install Dependencies:

    cd coursehub
    npm install  # or yarn install
  4. Configure Database Connection:

    • Update the connection string in the appsettings.json file (backend) to point to your SQL Server instance.
  5. Run the Application:

    • Start the backend server:
      dotnet run
    • Navigate to http://localhost:<port number> (e.g., http://localhost:5000) in your browser to access the CourseHub application.
