This is Parallax Propeller SPIN and assembly code to control a miniature (about 10 cm) Star Wars Death Star and Alderaan planet model, which will go into LEO in time for the release of the Star Wars VIII movie coming out in May 2017.
The Death Star will contain four working lasers and two cameras to test laser communication and power beaming in space (a commercial first) and will trigger Alderaan to blow up (Engineering implementation to be determined).
The Alderaan and Death Star models will contain people’s names and photos, which will be transmitted to distance stars via lasers. We hope to launch a $75K crowd funding campaign soon to raise additional money. The possibility of success for this project is based off the success of the $88K “TARDIS in Space” Kickstarter campaign.
