Planned Features and To-Dos

Below is a list of features that are currently planned or in-progress.

• Server-side GUI: a user-friendly desktop window that opens when the app is opened, likely to be written in PySide6.
• Update checker: a module that will query this repo to check if the user is running the latest version of the app.
• Tests: comprehensive unit testing to ensure that the app is error-free.
• User authentication: allow users to log in to the app. This will facilitate the ability to get long-term data about skaters.
• UI polishing: the frontend UI needs lots of work!
