Process to Create a New Subgroup

Steps

Present to TSC

• Coordinate with TSC Members and Lucy Hyde (lhyde@linuxfoundation.org) to present at an upcoming TSC meeting
• Include the following information: Name, Description, Proposed Maintainers
• Receive consensus from TSC vote

Logistics

• Open a GitHub Issue via the following steps:
  • Open a new GitHub issue
  • Select Workgroup Request
• Once complete, Lucy will close the issue and send notification
• Update the Roster of Working Groups
• Send a notification email to the TSC Mailing List (sonic-tsc@lists.sonicfoundation.dev) with first meeting information and new mailing list information

Periodic Updates (TSC/Board)

• Add your working group to the Calendar for the next quarterly update that makes sense with your given timeline (e.g. if your working group is created within 6 weeks of the next quarterly working group update scheduled at the TSC meeting, please defer to the following quarterly update unless the earlier date is preferred)
