Tropic - JavaScript Test Runner

Test Driven Development (TDD) is one of my main concerns in terms of software development. Therefore I published Tropic, the JavaScript test runner focusing on performance and isolated test execution.

What's the goal?

Tropic aims to provide tutorials and guides on how to start with TDD using Tropic as well as online workshops on how to improve test quality. Therefore I would like to raise awareness and provide better tooling for seamless JavaScript testing.

What are currently missing features?

  • Describe/suite support
  • Global only and skip support

What's already achieved?

  • Async testing with async/await, promises or done callback
  • Execute certain tests by using only and skip
  • Watchmode
  • Isolated test execution
  • Transpile/Compile code with e.g.: babel
