What it does

The coconut tree leaves have normal maps applied. Performance drops to around 4FPS.
After muting the normals node, they are no longer recalculated and performance goes up to around 35FPS.

Installation

Installing Mute Shader Nodes Add-On

  • Open Preferences
  • Click Install Button
  • Locate .py file
  • Check Activation Box in Add-On List

Usage

Toggle Normal Map Nodes Usage: View in Shader Editor

  • Open Shader Editor
  • If not open, expand Tool Menu (T)
  • Hit On to un-mute all Normal Nodes, Off to mute them and Toggle to Switch their states
