Description

This Rainmeter skin is one that I have been looking for, as a Google Play Music user, for a long time.
The skin displays the Title, Artist, Album, and Album Artwork of the song being played, as well as the status of both the shuffle and repeat features on any one of its three style variants. Additionally, this package also features a built-in customizable visualizer as well as many smart functionalities to enhance user-experience, all of which can be configured via the skins settings menu. For specific information about each of these features, you can visit the Features page of the PlayMusic wiki.

Update: The skin now also features a settings menu which will appear upon installation and allows the user to customize the skin appearance and functionalities. Though, these settings are accessible at any time by clicking the    on the skin.

In Progress:

  • Add configurable visualizer to skin variants
  • Integrate convenient volume controls into skin
  • Add requested support for Spotify as well as other media players
  • Improve element color adaptability for light and dark album artwork

Note:  Due to current limitations, it's not yet possible to integrate remote control of GPMDP into the skin, though a feature request has been made to the developers and I believe this is a functionality that can be expected from future updates.
