Energy_Project is a tool designed to help you understand energy use in a simple way. It uses data to show patterns and trends in how energy is consumed. This tool brings together several parts: Python for programming, PostgreSQL for storing data, Spark for handling large data, and Streamlit for easy visualization.
You do not need to know code to use the app. It works on Windows and shows clear information about energy consumption without complexity.
Make sure your computer meets these minimum needs:
- Windows 10 or newer (64-bit)
- At least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended for large data)
- 2 GHz dual-core processor or better
- 2 GB free space on disk
- Internet connection (for downloading the app and updates)
- Clear graphs and tables showing energy use over time
- Simple filters to focus on specific dates or areas
- Fast data processing using Spark technology
- Stores data securely using PostgreSQL
- Runs locally on your Windows machine
- Updates with new data easily
Follow these steps to get the Energy_Project app up and running on your Windows computer.
Go to the releases page to get the app setup file:
This page lists all available versions of the app. The latest version will be at the top.
Look for the file with a name like Energy_Project_Setup.exe. This is the installer for Windows.
Click the file name to start downloading. The download size will be around 150 MB.
Once the download finishes:
- Find the file in your Downloads folder.
- Double-click
Energy_Project_Setup.exe. - If a security alert appears, choose "Run" to continue.
The installer will open and guide you through setting up the app.
Choose where to install it (the default location is fine for most users).
Click "Next" as you move through the installer screens.
When you see "Installation Complete," click "Finish."
The app will appear on your desktop or start menu.
Find the Energy_Project icon and double-click it.
It opens a window showing energy data insights.
You do not need prior experience. The app guides you through its features. Here is a simple walkthrough.
The main screen shows charts with energy use over time.
- Use date selectors to look at specific days or months.
- Click on any chart to see more details.
At the top, filters let you choose data by region or type of energy.
- Pick options from dropdown menus.
- Charts update automatically.
You can save reports as PDF or CSV files.
Click the "Export" button, then choose your preferred format.
Reports help analyze data or share findings with others.
The app updates with new data when you connect to the internet.
Click the "Refresh" button to download updates.
Check the releases page regularly to get the latest version.

- Run the installer again.
The installer keeps your existing data and settings.
- Ensure you have enough disk space.
- Close other programs before installing.
- Run the installer as an administrator (right-click > Run as administrator).
- Restart your computer and try again.
- Check that your antivirus is not blocking the app.
- Make sure your Windows is up to date.
- Confirm your internet connection if you tried to refresh data.
- Restart the app.

By default, Energy_Project stores its files here:
C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Local\Energy_Project -
You can change this location during installation.
Energy_Project stores data only on your computer. It does not send data to any external server without permission. You control all your information.
