Automatic

Same behavior as always. Whenever the extension popup is opened on a Thingiverse page, it automatically retrieves the information needed for the download.

This requires the user to grant the activeTab permission to the extension.

Manual

The user needs to paste the link of the thingiverse page into the search bar in order for the extension to retrieve the information needed for the download.
