Ok so I tried this out.. the main issue is that this loads up many more apps that what should be added. |

About the thing you did with cross platform, that's actually implemented on windows-support (but that still hasn't been fully merged into master yet) |

Discovers apps via launch services, while falling back to cross-installed apps via
cross::, platform-specific things have been moved to their appropriate sub-crate.
