The initial release of the 2014 NSHM for the Conterminous U.S was created with a hybrid codebase and is not represented in this repository:
- Legacy USGS Fortran codes and input files were used for the Central and Eastern U.S. (CEUS), and Western U.S. (WUS), excepting California.
- OpenSHA, which was used to develop Uniform California Earthquake Rupture Forecast (UCERF3), was used to model hazard in California.
The above codes and inputs were used to copmpute hazard curves for PGA, and 5-Hz and 1-Hz spectral periods for a site class with Vs30 = 760 m/s. These curves were accepted for use by the BSSC for
U.S. Geological Survey – National Seismic Hazard Mapping Project (NSHMP)
