This is the Ultimate Deployment Appliance 3.0 Build 143 release.

  • Using wimlib by Eric Biggers. Previously with the old wimlib we were getting a blue screen of death during WINPE boots due to files not being added properly to the WIM archive. WinPE installation may not even require external drivers anymore when the network card is automatically recognized!
  • Upload big ISO files through the web interface. Uploading an entire installation DVD is not a problem anymore!
  • New samba release, supporting samba AD (not enabled, only available through manual configuration from the command line)
  • DNS service added so you can use UDA for your homelab
  • Ontap VSIM does not need freedos or msdos floppy image anymore, now uses (builtin) TinyCore
  • Install VMWare OVF tool
  • Deploy OVA files for templates, works with subtemplates as well and even injects the configured MAC address of the (sub)template and boots the VM (triggering an actual pxe installation!)
  • Now comes with Powershell already installed!
  • Online disk additions on ESX can now be recognized and used as space extension without bringing the UDA offline.
  • Tabs in template config have been fixed to not resize
  • Windows 7 is now automatically recognized (no specification of SUBOS needed during import)
  • Support Matrix has been updated
    • ESX 6.5 OVA files with the right hardware (mem size, hard disk type/size, supported network card)
    • Virtualbox ova files
  • file browser now shows files in alphabethical order
  • action list is now sorted so the newest action is on top
  • Automatic selection of sub-os for suse
  • AUTOCONFIG first boot configuration via iso image with config file
  • Added commandline test suite
