Smart Villa: Real Estate System – Property Website

Getting Started

Our main purpose is to develop a intial real estate website that will meet real world scenarios to solve the existing problems for the people in searching different types of properties. Our website is aimed at providing quality efficient results for all kinds of people who wishes to buy or rent a property.

As it is a university project, the website is not maintained after and duplicate data was created to meet the purpose.

Prerequisites

There is no special need of any installation or special hardware to access this. As it is entirely in online website user can access with any device with an active internet connection. Nevertheless, there are some minimum system installation instructions needed to be followed.

Minimum System Installation needed

1. A web browser (Firefox, Chrome, Safari etc.) must be installed on any operating system such as windows, Linux or OSX in order to browse the website.

2. Adobe flash player must be added on the web browser for having best experience of the website animations.

3. Minimum ram of 512 MB must be installed on the system in order to view the website without any interruption.

Description

The website provides effective links to the property listing, real estate agents and social media links like Facebook, twitter, youtube for effective communication with users. It also provides online chat facility for an effective communication between the user and the agents. The content in the website gives the detailed description for each category like homes for sale, rent, real estate agent support, mortgage rates etc.

• Good Customer support through social networking websites and chat facilities.
• Availability of Online Auction.
• Login and Registration of users.
• An Effective User Interface through Google Maps.
• Payment functionality.

Test cases

This project is based on wordpress themes, frameworks, plugins and was built completely in wordpress developement website. Running this project in local system might affect some features, although it can display necessary information required on the all the web pages.

Running the project in local system

• Clone the project repository from the GITHUB.
• Copy the entire folder into a PHP web server with an access to MYSQL database.
• Got to Localhost web page to view the project home page.
