Thanks to Lars for bringing this up.

Do we have a plan for deep linking into items in the audiobooks reading order that are packaged in LPF?

This has implications for annotations and bookmarking.

We should unpack (sorry!) what this might mean.

As many of you know, I've been interested in the Google web bundles proposal, which has been partially implemented (behind a flag) in Chrome. Essentially there are two URLs--an outer URL pointing to the location of the bundle (the .wbn file), and an inner URL referencing the bundle's content. Here I'm pointing to chapter 25 of Moby Dick, for a web bundle that happens to live on my filesystem:

file:///Users/cramerd/Sites/bundles/moby.wbn?https://www.example.com/moby-dick/#x2HCH0025

If you had a copy of this book somewhere else, you'd just need to change the outer URL.

But this doesn't work with my little audiobook bundle, because I have to rewrite URLs because I don't want users navigating to the raw MP3 files, bypassing the user interface. I wonder if I can fix that...
